Teplice-Adršpach circuit

The biking trail leads along asphalt and paved surfaces suitable for mountain and trekking bikes. A lovely route that passes close by the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. It includes some really nice views of the rock towns, as well as the Broumov Walls, the Ostaš Table Mountain and the Krkonoše Mountains, dominated by the peak of Sněžka.

Teplice nad Metují - Skály - Liščí sedlo - Dolní Adršpach - Horní Adršpach - Libná -  Zdoňov - Buková hora - Horní Teplice - Teplice nad Metují 

Route description

The route starts at the square in Teplice nad Metují. Follow the red trail (cycle route no. 4036) towards Skály (Bischofstein). After a challenging three-kilometer climb, turn right from the asphalt road above the Skály settlement onto an unpaved forest path leading to the highest peak of the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, Čáp, with its observation tower. Continue along the marked field path with views of the rock city, the Jívka and Dřevíč valleys, the Jestřebí Mountains ridge, and the Krkonoše silhouettes, passing the former Záboř settlement to reach Liščí Saddle.

Follow the paved forest path (cycle route no. 4036) around the western edge of Adršpašská Skála and descend past Starozámecký Hill (ruins of Adršpach Rock Castle) to Dolní Adršpach and Adršpach Castle. Gently climb to Horní Adršpach, turn right, and continue along the field path past the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, still following cycle route no. 4036, to the former stonecutting village of Libná. Continue on a slightly descending, formerly paved but now rough terrain path to Zdoňov. Turn left onto the main road, then after about 1,000 meters of climbing, turn right onto an unpaved forest path, still on cycle route no. 4036.

Follow the path along the ridge of the Mirošov Walls to the Buková hora crossroads. Continue on cycle route no. 4036, descending past the Cross of Reconciliation along forest and field paths to Horní Teplice, then along Horní Street past the Church of St. Lawrence back to the square in Teplice nad Metují.
