Route description

From Police nad Metují, ride up the quiet road through Suchý Důl to Slavný and continue along the asphalt road through the forest to the Pánův kříž cross. Take the gravel road down to the Machovský kříž cross and then follow the border road between the rocks to Pasterka. Turn off at the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society chalet onto the "nad Urwiskiem" road. Cross the Radków-Karłów road and after riding for another kilometre turn right to the Niknąca Łąka peat bog. Cross the Praski and Kręgielny Trakt and follow a parallel route back to Karłów. Cross the road and ride up the red trail to Lisi Grzbiet. In the middle of the ridge, turn left along the forest trail to pass the Kragle Mokradlo peat bog on the "Czynna ochrona ekosystemów w PNGS" nature trail and go round the Błędne Skały rock maze. Follow the asphalt road (freeriders take the red route) down to the Alexandra Trail, and then cross over to Bukowina. At the viewpoint in the meadow, turn left and follow the pale blue arrows (Rallye Sudety) down the singletrack trail to Pstrążna. There is an open-air museum at the bottom end of the village. In Dole, cross over into Bohemia, then in Žďárky join the Rallye Sudety route leading through Vysoká Srbská to Bezděkov. Follow the road to Police nad Metují. Along the way you can stop off and visit the Museum of Folk Culture of the Sudety Mountains of Folk Culture in Pstrążna, the lookout tower in Vysoká Srbská or the Church of St. Prokop in Bezděkov nad Metují, one of the churches forming part of the ‘Broumov group’. The historical cooling sheds in Bezděkov nad Metují are also a a natural and technical heritage site. The town museum in the Benedictine monastery in Police nad Metují is definitely worth a visit.
